The Department of Posts (Hindi: भारतीय डाक विभाग) functioning under the brand name India Post (Hindi: भारतीय डाक) , is a government operated postal system in India; it is generally referred to within India as “the post office”. The Indian Postal Service, with 155,333 post offices, is the most widely distributed post office system in the world. The large numbers are a result of a long tradition of many disparate postal systems which were unified in the Indian Union post-Independence. Owing to this far-flung reach and its presence in remote areas, the Indian postal service is also involved in other services such as small savings banking and financial services.
Applications are invited from the desirous & eligible applicants to fill up the posts of:
Multi Tasking Staff (erstwhile Group D Employees)
No. of Vacancies : 68 Posts
Pay Scale : Rs 5,200-20,200 + GP 1,800 + admissible allowances
Qualifications : Matriculation or ITI from any recognized Board.
Age limit : 18-27 years
Application Fee: The Applicants have to pay the prescribed Examination fee of Rs. 100  and it should be deposited in a Post Office in Punjab Or U.T Chandigarh.
How to Apply:
Application form duly filled in/signed should be enclosed in a cover which should be superscripted as “Application for appointment to the post of MTS in …..Division” and forwarded to the Authority as mentioned below. Last date of receipt of Applications by the Divisions/Units is 27-12-2013.
